  • Do not wash hair for 48 hours preferably. This allows time for the rings to completely set
  • If swimming or in the sea make sure to thoroughly rinse and wash all chlorine and saltwater from rings and this can affect the hair and result in sliding.
  • Avoid washing your hair upside down if possible.
  • Before washing your hair, brush thoroughly with a soft bristle brush or extensions loop brush to rid any knots.
  • Brush from tips to roots gently to remove tangles, hold hair at root with palm of hand when brushing so you are not pulling on the extensions and causing friction.
  • Wash at least 1-2 times a week to ensure oils don’t build up on the rings causing them to slip down the hair.
  • Use and oil-free, sulphate-free, Paraben Free shampoo preferably. This will help maintain them for a longer period and oil will loosen causing slippage and sulphate will cause breakdown of the bonds causing the bonds to soften and go tacky.
  • When applying shampoo be very generous with the amount you use and please make sure to rinse thoroughly
  • Use a silicone-free, protein-free conditioner. As protein and silicone on extensions hair will cause matting and tangling.
  • Do not apply conditioner to the rings as they will slide. Only apply to middle ends and ends.
  • After washing, gently wrap in towel and pat dry. Do not rub. Do not twist hair loads of times before putting towel on as hair can matte and get stuck in a twist.
  • Do not tie hair up when wet, this leads to hair getting stuck in a big knot which cannot be removed. (Don’t know the cause of this its jus from experience) only way to fix is removal.
  • Avoid sleeping on wet or damp rings
  • Separate hair from roots before drying, detangle from tips to roots gently,
  • Avoid brushing hair when wet if possible as it’s at its most fragile state when wet.
  • Do not apply very hot temperate (dryer on hottest temp, really hot water ghd ect) to the rings as this will cause the glue (holding the extensions hair together) to soften and melt.
  • When going to bed put hair in 1 or 2 loose plaits to prevent any damage to hair while sleeping.
  • All heated products may be used just be careful not to get too close to the ring as you can melt the glue and it will stick to your hair.
  • Brush your hair plenty during the day, when you wake up and before you go to bed prevent knotting.
  • Do not put colour, bleach, toner or oil near the rings as certain chemicals in products will loosen and cause slippage.
  • Try using styling products with little or no alcohol.
